About Robin

Robin Rice is an internationally published author, spiritual teacher, "social alchemist," and mentor to contemporary visionaries. Her writing has been translated into three languages and distributed in nine countries. A writer for a variety of national magazines in her early career, she is author of The American Nanny (1986), Getting Out From Under Depression (1998), A Hundred Ways To Sunday (2001), Venus For A Day (2005), and ShapeShifting Beauty (2007). She is co-author of The SIDS Survival Guide (1995) and the feature essayist in the book Welcome Home (1992). She spent the full year of 2009 writing a work of teen fiction in real time (posted as written first-draft, with videos on the writing process) through her blog at www.MaydenChronicles.com.

"Robin Rice is a wise woman who is completely in touch with herself, others and the world/universe around her. With uncommon compassion and a gift for gently and directly speaking the truth, you watch and listen as your life begins to take shape and make sense even after all the senselessness. Immediately, you feel understood and can therefore understand. Even from a distance, she holds your hand and you feel her presence right there with you. It begins with her voice, deepens with what she is saying and seems to touch your soul long after the 'conversation' has ended." —Wendy Elwell

Robin has traveled the world to study indigenous leadership methodologies from a wide variety of traditions, and these themes are the background for all of her work. She offers online teaching in Alchemy, Contemporary Shamanism and Taoism. She is also the founder of the Awesome Women Hub on facebook, and is currently leading a "What The World Needs NEXT" tour to create viral music videos and share her feminine models of new community. Blending the past and the future to meet the needs of the now, Robin created BeWhoYouAre.com at the beginning of the internet era and as ever, she can't wait to see where it goes next.
