Of all the hats I wear in the world, language and story consulting is one of my personal favorites. The world wide web delights me with its vast array of options for visual, auditory, and written storytelling capacities. It allows anyone to step forward with a message, and to have that message be heard by virtually anyone, anywhere.

But to be successful--to stand out and to have impact--you have to be YOU and you have to be completely congruent with the message you are offering.

Did you know it takes less than three seconds for most people to "land and leave" a website that doesn't pop with value, authenticity, and intrigue? Did you also know the judgment of whether you can be a real contender in the visitors world is based on look, then FEEL, and then content? You can have the best product or service in the world, but if the story doesn't come across in the first three seconds, you've lost your visitor.

There's an old saying that there is a good book in everyone's life. As an internationally published author, I know this to be true. Although most will never have that book written, MANY will have a website created. These days, it really isn't all that different. The only question is...Will the really good story in you or your organization be found, spotlighted, and then recieved?
