Personal Mentoring
Mentoring is one of the oldest and most sacred of relationships. Plato mentored Aristotle, who in turn mentored Alexander The Great. Annie Sullivan mentored Helen Keller, who in turn mentored us all in living fully, no matter our handicap. The mythical Yoda mentored the archetypal Luke Skywalker, and the Force that was strong in “that one” grew stronger.
In each case, the teacher appeared when the student was ready, and each mentor saw the opportunity to create a better world by influencing those who would become leaders. That’s how I see my calling as a mentor. That’s how I see you.
My "Specialty"… AN UPDATE
For many years, I've been a healer/helper, spiritual teacher and mentor to men and women in a wide range of roles, including world-level leaders in everything from politics and peacemaking to medicine and high fashion...as well as those who feel themselves quite "ordinary" as they lead through their work and family roles. It has been a wonderful career.
Today, however, I've narrowed my area of focus in personal mentoring to those in the greatest of need—those for whom personal crisis or significantly altered "realities" have shaken their lives to the core. Perhaps there has been a tragic death of someone close to them, or they have had a personal near-death experience. Perhaps by accident, life-threatning illness, professional catastophe or occurances of violence, the "world" as it was once known no longer makes sense and a spiritual crisis is at hand. Perhaps there was a sudden spiritual "awakening" that does not seem to fit with "ordinary reality" and a new sense of internal understanding and order is needed. In these cases, I am glad to be of assistance.

What I Bring To Personal Mentoring…
In my many travels, I have studied with shamans throughout the world. I have learned the ways of the indigenous healers and have personally been through a wide range of spiritual initiations. Adding my own personal history of loss and life altering crisis (see the articles That Night With Julie and Magic under the "Robin's Articles" link at the header of this page for more information on my personal history), I am uniquely suited to go where others might not. Though I am NOT trained as a therapist or mental health professional, I often work along side these professionals as an adjunct to traditional medicine. More and more, medical professionals are realizing that there are times when the spiritual crisis cannot be met in traditional ways. In these cases, a personal mentor with a focus on the greater spiritual experience can be of help.
